Ultrasonic Sprayed Aerosol for Ultrafine Ceramic Powder Synthesis

Résumé

In the ceramic field, the quality of the starting powders such as their chemical composition, their morphology and the grain size distribution is crucial, in particular to control the final microstructures obtained after shaping. To reach high chemical purity and ultrafine particle size, spray-pyrolysis processes offer several advantages. In this article, it is proposed to introduce both thermal spray pyrolysis and laser spray pyrolysis from liquid precursors nebulized by ultrasonic devices. These scalable synthesis methods make it possible to reach a large range of particle sizes, chemical compositions and morphologies with very high purity.
